Casale Cantignano is a lovely five bedroom air conditioned Farmhouse just minutes from the wonderful walled city of Lucca, in a village where there are two nice restaurants within walking distance from the villa. There is an additional annex, across the courtyard which sleeps 3 people, giving you the option of having seven bedrooms.

Originally used partially as a mill for the family and the few inhabitats of the village and part as a farmhouse, has beeen beautyfully restored. It has no architectural pretences, is of simple lines, and the materials used in construction are those of the time:stones, hand-made bricks, timber beamed ceilings, terracotta floors.

Everything in the house have been studied in details and today the rooms of the old mill have become intimate and luxurious living rooms, full of warmth and welcome: the old stable on the ground floor is now the dining room where we can admire the vaulted ceiling, the stonework and other traditional workmanship.

The Villa is 450 square meters and is divided in 2 floors and the annex. It is surrounded by a 5.000 square meters garden, this Villa has a beautiful flodlit pool 16m x 8m and a beautiful covered patio nearby. In additional another covered patio on the background of the house with a dining table perfect for
“al fresco” dinners. It is located inside a village walking distance to the local restaurants, less than 10 minutes away of the centre of Lucca and within 1 hour of most of Tuscany actractions.
