Property Description

Situated in beautiful and tranquil village close to the sea-side, Villa Daniela promises to create memorable holidays, with eleven fully air-conditioned bedrooms, all with their own private bathrooms. Together with the wide outdoor facilities and the beautiful italian style garden and the meeting rooms, it makes the villa the perfect venue for events of any kind and big family reunions.

You will never find a better villa experience than here. Every guest seem sto find themselves feeling like part of the owner’s family.
A perfect stay is guaranteed. Your only disappointment will be when you have to depart.
The owners spent 14 years restoring this incredible villa back to its original splendor and adding state of the art luxuries such as glass enclosed rain showers, an extremely large, two room professional kitchen, formal gardens, rose and jasmine bordered swimming pool and of course free WiFi. No attention to detail was left undone. For example, they installed an elevator for the convenience of bringing luggage up and down from the bedrooms. Frigo bars and TVs are installed in the bedrooms.
For weddings, family parties and business conferences, the limonaia has been restored to a beautiful all purpose room for additional dining or it can be broken down into four office/teaching rooms with built in projectors.

Like many Italian villas, this one has a remarkable history. Built originally in the 15th century as a summer home by a noble Luchese family, it remained in the same family until the 19th century when it was given to an order of monks left homeless when Napoleon sequestered all church property. The monks divided the large rooms to smaller simpler ones and added a secondary school that was attached to the villa. The current owners bought the property and spent the past 14 years restoring it to its original beauty, including hiring their own “Michelangelo”, an artist from Florence who has been living in the villa for the past few years, painfully restoring the 18th century frescoes and adding her own interpretations as well.
The villa looks over a parterre and a beautifully reconstructed formal garden from the original 1843 plans. Beyond the gardens is a view of olive groves and rolling vineyards, a small village and the backdrop of the distant mountains. The villa is ideally located, within walking distance to a small village with shops and supermarket and just 7 km north of the historic city of Lucca. Many stately villas are open as museums for touring, such as Villa Torrigiani. On the grounds is another remarkable restoration. The limonaia has been converted into a large airy space for meetings and lectures. It can also be used as a back up reception room in case of rain.

Main Villa Layout 11 bedrooms (22 + 5 people)

Ground floor – On the ground floor there is a beautiful, spacious and bright ‘salone’ or reception room with chairs, sofas and coffee tables in a charming Italian style. It is furnished with satellite TV and games, and there is a door to a full equipped study (PC, printer, copier) and wireless broadband internet access. Adjoining the ’salone’ is a large painted ceiling dining room, with a table large enough to accommodate all guests. Also on the ground floor is a magnificent modern kitchen – large, well-furnished and equipped to a standard which would satisfy the most exacting cook, whether she/he wanted to prepare a grand dinner, or demonstrate the art of Italian cuisine to guests. Next to the kitchen is a laundry room, fully equipped with washing machine, dryer, iron etc. and a larder and a half bathroom. To complete the ground floor there are 2 guest bathroom with handicap accessible toilet and an elevator for the convenience of bringing luggage up and down from the bedrooms..

Both the ‘salone’ and the kitchen open onto the parterre, which is furnished with shaded tables where guests can barbecue their lunch, or just eat, sip wine and enjoy the view.

First floor – Take the elevator or the staircase up to the first floor. The staircase leads you to a hallway. On your right is the elevator and then a hall way that runs along the north side of the villa. Just in front of the elevator there is a double bedroom with en suite bathroom with shower. Off of this hall way you have four bedrooms suites that are mirror images of each other. Enter the room into a hallway with a full equipped bathroom with tub of to the side and a ample luggage and wardrobe space with safety box. Further into your room is a living room area with a sofa bed and mini bar. staircase leading to the loft bedroom which has two twin beds that can be combined into a king bed, an armoire, a writing table with a second mini bar. The loft also has a second full equipped bathroom with a shower. The hallway running along the north side of the villa continues up a short flight of stairs and leads you in the last bedroom suite furnished as the other ones except that the two bathrooms have both the shower. Each suite is elegantly furnished and decorated with individually hand-painted ceilings. All guest accommodation is fitted with individual heating/air conditioning so that all rooms are comfortable whatever the season.

Note: 5 bedrooms with loft at the lower floor are provided of sofa beds for total extra 5 people available at additional cost.

Second floor – Continue up the staircase or take the elevator to the second floor. On the hallway behind the first door on the left is a king bedroom en suite bathroom with tub and shower. The second bedroom we find facing the formal gardens is a king bedroom suite with a balcony overlooking the formal gardens, this room also has a private study as well as an en suite bathroom with shower. Further down the hall way, a cozy living room and a king bedroom with en suite bath. two additional double bedrooms that also face the formal gardens share a large bathroom at the end of the hallway complete the second floor.

I NARCISI WING 5 bedrooms (10 people available only in additional to the main villa)

Beside the main building Villa Daniela there is I Narcisi wing which extends in two floors with lift, this building is available only in additional to Villa Daniela main building for more than 22 guests.

Ground floor – Professional kitchen fully equipped, large dining room for up to 120 people.

First floor – 5 bedrooms, 3 junior suites with ensuite bathroom and 2 bedrooms with ensuite bathroom.

Outdoors

As with all formal Italian villas, the immediate area around the house has fine pea – gravel that leads to the spawling lawns that are well planned out. Tables and chairs that can comfortably accommodate 40 guests are under a large white canopied gazebo. A paved path or a flight of steps, takes you to the walled formal gardens that have been re-created from the original gardens of 1600’s complete with a large fountain and ideal for leisurely strolls of solitude and quietness- the air scented by the nearby walls of roses and over 100 potted lemon and grapefruit trees are scattered throughout the property . The views from the formal gardens look out over the valley and a quaint village. Once through the formal gardens, you are at the large swimming pool area, with banks of roses and jasmine climbing two sides of the ancient wall and create a canopy for shade as well as remarkable scents of rose, jasmine, citrus and herbs. An incredible relaxing experience!

Limonaia
The Limonaia has been converted into a large meeting hall or dining room that can be divided into four private rooms if needed for meetings. Large round tables and glass windows make this a wonderful all occasion room. ( Additional charge for this room)

Food shopping: if your customers don’t like to go to grocery shop we can do it for them. They will give us a food list in the evening and the morning after they will find what requested. (€ 100 each time for the service + the cost of food).
Tastings: We can organize special tasting lunch/dinner about wine, olive oil, cheese and cold cuts (sausages, hams, salamis etc … ) with sommeliers and professionals.
Classical music events: thanks to the wonderful acoustic in our private church building and gazebo we are able to organize private lyric concerts with opera singers indoors and outdoors.
Special events : we are able to satisfy all guest’s desires. We can provide not only settings but also musicians, deejays, bands, bartenders and off course various kinds of catering services. For special events, an extra fee for Villa Daniela’s ground is required.
Weddings: In our villa it is possible to celebrate civil wedding and we are able to provide to the guests all the services they may need to make this day unforgettable, for weddings a wedding fee of Euro 1.000 is required which doesn not include catering services, planning fees, flowers etc etc
